Four fronts, one forest

Monitoring, education, science and local economy — each front sustains the others to keep the Atlantic Forest standing.

Olhos na Mata · Eyes in the Forest

The forest under our eyes

Camera traps spread across the forest identify and monitor native and endemic animals. In 8 months, we recorded animals from 9 taxonomic orders — and the data shape our conservation strategies.

The cameras also protect: they have recorded poachers and illegal loggers, and the footage supports legal action under the Native Vegetation Protection Law (Law No. 12.651/2012).

Playground na Natureza

Nature nurtures children

In partnership with São Paulo schools, students spend a day of educational immersion in the Atlantic Forest — flora, fauna, art and critical thinking, away from screens and close to the forest.

"In the end we will conserve only what we love; we will love only what we understand; and we will understand only what we are taught." — Baba Dioum, 1968
